Bulgarian tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova is now a mom of two. The 34-year-old gave birth to her second child, a boy named Viktor.
The former WTA No.31 Pironkova and her husband Mihail Mirchev first extended their family in March 2018, when their son Alexander was born. Now, the three-year-old has a brother, as Pironkova announced baby news by posting a photo of her newborn’s foot on Instagram.
Playing the 2020 US Open, her comeback tournament after her first pregnancy and maternity leave, Pironkova defeated Liudmila Samsonova, Garbine Muguruza, Donna Vekic, and Alize Cornet before losing to Serena Williams in the quarterfinals. The last match Pironkova played was a first-round loss to Daria Kasatkina at the 2021 US Open.
