The USTA has just announced that Serena Williams will be among 15 American women participating at the 2022 US Open.
The six-time US Open singles champion Williams enters the Grand Slam with a special ranking of No.16. American Top 10 WTA players in the field are Jessica Pegula and Danielle Collins.
At Wimbledon 2022, Williams played her first singles tournament in a year. Prior to the US Open, the 23-time major champion will play the National Bank Open in Toronto and the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.
The 2022 US Open main draw runs Monday, August 29, to Sunday, September 11, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Fan Week, which features the Qualifying Tournament, begins on Tuesday, August 23.
