“Even good things sometimes come to an end,” Karolina Pliskova started her message as she announced the split from her coach Sascha Bajin in July. Five months later, this player-coach duo is getting reunited!
The former world No.1 Pliskova first added Bajin to her team in November 2020, having ended her one-year partnership with coach Daniel Vallverdu. During her 20-month partnership with Bajin, Pliskova reached three finals, including at Wimbledon 2021. Revealing the end of their partnership, Pliskova called Bajin one of the best tennis coaches and wished him the best of luck as her good friend.
The tennis community is now getting exciting news that Pliskova and Bajin will resume their cooperation in 2023. The Czech WTA player was the first to break the news, while Bajin retweeted her post and wrote: “Thank you for having me back. Let’s go get it.”
