Venus Williams, Danielle Collins to play an exhibition match in Dallas in February

Seven-time major champion Venus Williams will face fellow American Danielle Collins in an exhibition match at the Dallas Open, an ATP Tour 250 tournament that will take place February 4-12, 2023.

The Dallas Open will have its second edition in 2023, as last year marked the return of ATP tennis to Dallas for the first time in more than 30 years. The match that Williams and Collins will play is the inaugural Women’s Tennis Classic Showcase. The format of the exhibition will be a best-of-three singles match with a tiebreak for the third. The exact date of the Williams vs. Collins clash is February 4, at 7 PM CT. Venue: the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex at SMU.

For now, you can purchase tickets for the women’s match only as part of a weeklong package. Individual session tickets will go on sale on December 12.

The 42-year-old Williams continues to train hard and doesn’t plan to end her career soon, but she’s yet to announce her upcoming WTA tournaments.
