In August last year, the 18-year-old Gauff launched her signature shoe model influenced by the ’90s aesthetics. The model is intended for both women and men. Now the teenager is introducing a new colorway that combines orange, off-white and black, or according to the New Balance website “sea salt with neon dragonfly and black”.
When it comes to functionality, the unisex tennis shoe boasts a lot of New Balance’s special features such as: FuelCell foam, Energy Arc, Fit Weave Lite, NDure toe guard, and NDurance rubber outsole. As New Balance explains, the Coco CG1 provides “dynamic responsiveness of FuelCell cushioning and new Energy Arc technology, while a Fit Weave Lite woven upper provides a lightweight but supportive lockdown fit.”
Besides reflecting Gauff’s personal style with vibrant colors and basketball-inspired silhouette, the CG1 features the WTA player’s signature on the tongue, lace jewel and on one insole. “You can change the world with your racket” is written on the toe area.
The New Balance Coco CG1 women’s/men’s tennis shoe in the Neon Dragonfly colorway is available at Tennis Warehouse.
