At the Adelaide International 1 earlier this month in Australia, we noticed that Kostyuk was no longer wearing Nike and that her new apparel and footwear of choice were Wilson. Today, Wilson Sporting Goods Co. officially announced its partnership with the 20-year-old WTA player who has now become the first Wilson Advisory Staff member to wear and play Wilson.

En route to the Adelaide quarterfinals, Kostyuk used the Wilson Blade v8 tennis racquet, custom Wilson apparel and the Rush Pro 4.0 tennis shoes. The world No.57 will continue to receive custom outfits from her clothing sponsor.

“Wilson is committed to equipping athletes with all they need to succeed on and off the court, and there is nobody better to join forces with than Marta Kostyuk,” says Jason Collins, Global General Manager of Wilson Racquet Sports. “Marta has an extremely sharp game, and we look forward to not only expanding Wilson’s impact in the sport of tennis, but also supporting her as she grows her competitive edge and personal brand.”

As a Wilson Advisory Staff member, Kostyuk will offer valuable insights and test Wilson’s performance tennis products, as well as work with the company’s sportswear design team on inspiration and direction for the future.

In her Nike days, Kostyuk was dressed the same as many players on the Hologic WTA Tour. Now she’s happy to be unique in Wilson: “It makes me feel authentic, it makes me feel like I’m the only one wearing something, it makes me feel special.”

Wilson got into the technical apparel business just over one year ago, matching its level of industry-leading excellence in sports equipment with sportswear that is second-to-none. Their latest tennis apparel collection is inspired by the first Grand Slam of the season and is available for both women and men beginning today.

  1. I’m loving some of these designs! They look classic, yet with a modern twist….

It will be great to see some emerging brands in the tennis fashion market, like Wilson and Free People….

  2. Karo, as you say “classic with a modern twist”, similar to Lacoste style. I hear they have good quality. Yes, it’s good to see more fashion diversity on the women’s tour. The last few years were not very exciting, probably also because of corona, so we had less variety of brands and new collections than in the 2015s or so. I hope that 2023 will bring in a richer offer overall.
