Dutch tennis player Arantxa Rus reached a career milestone this Monday, rising to a career-high WTA ranking of No.60, an advancement of one spot from her previous best ranking accomplished way back in 2012.

Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands

The 32-year-old Rus was on a winning streak with consecutive titles this July. The left-hander secured an ITF title in the Hague, Netherlands, and then followed it up with another triumph in the WTA 125 tournament held in Contrexeville, France. Not long before, in June, the Hydrogen-sponsored athlete won her first career WTA 125 title at La Bisbal d’Emporda.

Rus began the year ranked at No.115, but her remarkable achievements mentioned above led to her surpassing her previous career-high ranking of No.61, which she had achieved back in 2012. It’s worth noting that she had previously achieved the same No.61 ranking in 2021, but it is only this week that she has managed to improve upon it.
