A month after announcing her new apparel partnership, Swiatek debuted her cooperation with On in April this year, at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. However, she continued to wear the Gel Resolution tennis shoes from her former apparel sponsor Asics. Seven tournaments and three title wins later, the Pole is finally dressed in On head-to-toe. Her tennis racquet of choice remains Tecnifibre Tempo 298 Iga.

The sight of Swiatek practicing in On tennis shoes strongly suggests that she will likely wear them during her first match at the Omnium Banque Nationale.

Update 2: Asics remains Swiatek’s choice for now

Battling past former world No.1 Karolina Pliskova 7-6(6) 6-2 in her Montreal opener, Swiatek remained loyal to her tried-and-true Asics Gel Resolution tennis shoes, while On was left waiting in the line.

  1. Asics has been a staple for Swiatek, and switching to On could impact her game. I’m curious to witness the evolution of her gameplay with these new shoes.

  2. While On shoes must be great, let’s not forget the mental aspect of this change. Familiarity with your gear can play a big role in confidence. Swiatek’s previous success with Asics might make this transition a bit tricky. She’s been preparing for it for a long time.
