Tony Parker is a retired French professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest point guards in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played the majority of his NBA career for the San Antonio Spurs. He was selected to multiple NBA All-Star Games and earned various accolades, including NBA Finals MVP in 2007.
Parker was born in Bruges, Belgium, to a basketball professional African American father and Dutch mother. He was raised in France. He has an interesting connection to tennis, as his grandmother on his mother’s side was Dutch national tennis champion in 1956.
