During her hiatus from tennis, Barbora Krejcikova is making productive use of her time. The 2021 French Open champion recently revealed a new partnership with the luxury watch brand Rado.

Posing with a Rado timepiece on her wrist, Krejcikova shared on her Instagram:

A fusion of precision, durability, and style, that’s the path I want to follow. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve become an ambassador for Rado, an honor and a privilege, because they are the perfect partner for both my athletic pursuits and everyday wear.

Tennis stars are known for their luxury watch partnerships. While most players promote their sponsors by putting on a watch after their matches, Krejcikova chooses to wear hers during matches, so she’ll provide extended visibility for the brand.

Rado has been a prominent sponsor in tennis for over three decades. Ashleigh Barty stands out as one of the most famous female representatives of the brand, with her partnership starting early in her career and continuing even after her retirement from the sport. Rado’s list of tennis ambassadors also includes Linda Noskova, known for wearing a Rado True Square Open Heart in white high-tech ceramic.

Among the male players, Rado sponsors Cameron Norrie, J.J. Wolf, Luca Nardi, and Leandro Riedi. Past ambassadors for Rado include retired players Agnieszka Radwanska and Julia Goerges, highlighting the brand’s enduring presence in the WTA world.

The world No.24 Krejcikova has been sidelined for two months, having last played the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open quarterfinals in February. Subsequently, she withdrew from the WTA 1000 tournaments in Doha and Dubai due to a back injury. However, her absence was further prolonged by a severe flu, which left her bedridden for weeks. The Czech will make her comeback at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.

The brand is renowned for its use of materials such as high-tech ceramic, sapphire crystal, and hard metal, which give Rado watches their distinctive look and feel.
