Venus Williams has partnered with Schwarzkopf USA and successfully ventured into the unknown territory of long honey blonde hair. The tennis champion remarked that this transformation is just the beginning, as she is eager to explore many more hairstyles now that she has realized the wonderful possibilities of having light hair.

At first glance, and even at second, we thought it was Serena Williams! The older Williams sister collaborated with colorist Brendnetta Ashley to create two different campaign looks for Venus using wigs — the sleek blonde style and a curly brunette look reminiscent of her iconic tennis court style.
Teaming up with Schwarzkopf Professional to celebrate the relaunch of IGORA VIBRANCE Demi-Permanent Color, Venus took the opportunity to experiment with a blonde hue. “When I saw that color, I was like, ‘Gosh, it looks just like Serena,'” Venus told PEOPLE about her first reaction to her honey shade for the brand’s “Up Your Game” campaign.

Serving absolute gorgeousness, Venus said, “I partnered with Schwarzkopf USA in their #UpYourHairGame campaign to share my hair story. I have always experimented with my hair — when I was younger with my braids and styling, then with color as I got older. This photoshoot experience has shown me that I may have a few more boundaries to push now that I am entering my blonde era.”
Enjoying getting out of her comfort zone, Venus said, “It wasn’t until today that I realized that I could actually push it further and I could do more. I thought I was doing enough. But after this, trust me, I’m going to be trying all kinds of things, and I can’t wait. I never thought that I could do this or go this color, and now I realize I can. I sent it to my sister, and she said, ‘Welcome to the blonde club.'”
Earlier this year, another Grand Slam champion, Ana Ivanovic, also partnered with Schwarzkopf.
