The Australians’ dog joined in the reveal, and the post featured an ultrasound picture confirming that baby Saville is on the way. According to the couple, the baby is due on March 26, 2026.
Daria’s caption reads: “We love you so much already. Pisces like mummy. To everyone still dreaming of this moment, we’re thinking of you.”
Back in January, Daria admitted that if she hadn’t been a professional tennis career, she and her husband Luke would likely have started a family earlier. The demanding travel schedule and intensity of the WTA Tour meant they had to postpone those plans.
In November 2024, the 31-year-old born in Moscow opened up about her decision to freeze her eggs in hopes of becoming a mother in the future. “But I’m still playing, and I still want to compete, and for that reason, we thought: ‘OK, well, let’s do the egg freezing’… I was able to do that while I was injured because you need a bit of time,” Daria explained then. She also revealed that she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal condition that can affect fertility. Now, less than a year later, Saville is overjoyed to be expecting her first child.
Daria and Luke have been together since their junior tennis days, growing side by side both on and off the court. Their long-term relationship took the next step in December 2018, when Luke proposed. Three years later, in December 2021, the two tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony.
Now, nearly four years into their marriage, the Savilles are preparing for their most exciting chapter yet – welcoming their first child. The announcement quickly drew congratulations from across the tennis community. WTA stars such as Ons Jabeur, Daria Kasatkina, Taylor Townsend, Jasmine Paolini, Caroline Garcia, Bianca Andreescu, and many others left supportive and celebratory comments under Daria’s post.
