At the site of her breakthrough Grand Slam title, Elena Rybakina reached another career milestone, recording her 300th Tour-level victory with a 6-4 1-6 6-3 win over France’s world No. 154 Lois Boisson.

Wearing the Yonex London Dress, Rybakina was pushed to three sets by an inspired Boisson, but the 2022 champion ultimately prevailed to improve to 6-0 in Wimbledon first-round matches.

It was far from a convincing performance, and Rybakina admitted afterward that she has plenty to improve. “Hopefully the next round is going to be better,” the second seed said, grateful for the chance to continue her campaign.

Making her sixth main-draw appearance at Wimbledon, Rybakina has now compiled a tournament-leading 22 match wins since her debut in 2021—more than any other player over that span. Earlier this year, she captured her second Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.
