Juggling work and motherhood is always a challenge, but Belinda Bencic seems to have cracked the code as her tennis career continues to thrive while her daughter Bella is always by her side. Right now, the Swiss player is in Toronto preparing for the start of the National Bank Open, and Jimmie48 has captured adorable photos of her and her little girl holding hands while going to tennis practice.

Just six months after welcoming her first child with husband Martin Hromkovic in April 2024, Bencic returned to competition and did not have to wait long to lift her first trophy as a mom. Less than a year after Bella was born, in February 2025, she captured the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open title, extending her flawless record at the tournament to 9-0 after also winning the trophy in 2023. Since then, the Olympic gold medalist has added another title to her comeback campaign, triumphing in Tokyo in October 2025.
The 29-year-old is now in Toronto, preparing for the WTA 1000 National Bank Open, a tournament she won back in 2015.

Balancing motherhood and a demanding career can be exhausting, but the world No. 14 sees it as a privilege to travel the world with her toddler and include her in everyday life, even bringing her along to work.
“I choose to bring Bella to every tournament,” Bencic told Richard Osborn in Charleston earlier this year. “I spend so much time with her. I’m really grateful I have this opportunity, to have people around me that help me to do that, to be able to play and to bring Bella. Literally, I wake up to her every morning, I put her to sleep every night.”

Moreover, having more things to focus on has surprisingly turned out to be beneficial for Bencic in a way. With less time to overanalyze tennis, she feels more relaxed and present:
“I don’t have so much time to think about tennis, and maybe that’s a good thing for me. I’m not overthinking stuff. ”
These additional photos from tournaments over the past year show just how involved little Bella is in her mother’s career.
