The 2026 Cincinnati Open was a record-breaking success, with more than 300,000 fans attending the 16-day tournament. The milestone capped a memorable event that saw Coco Gauff capture the women’s singles title ahead of the US Open.
2026 Cincinnati Open set four attendance records
- Total attendance: 300,288, surpassing the previous record of 285,571 in 2025
- Single-day attendance: 30,479 on Saturday, August 15, breaking the previous record of 27,308 set on Wednesday in 2024
- Day Session attendance: 17,441 on Saturday, August 15, exceeding the previous record of 14,452 from Wednesday in 2024
- Night Session attendance: 13,533 on Thursday, August 13, surpassing the previous record of 12,572 set on Friday in 2015
Tournament Director Bob Moran credits the tournament’s focus on improving the overall fan experience for the record turnout. He highlighted new initiatives including Community Weekend, Finals Weekend and the Kroger Indoor Fan Zone, adding that the response from fans was “fantastic.”
Fans came from around the world
The Cincinnati Open’s growing international appeal was also reflected in its ticket sales. Fans attended from all 50 U.S. states and 62 countries, with 57 percent of spectators traveling from outside the Cincinnati area.
The Cincinnati Open will return in 2027 from August 10-22, with organizers looking to build on a record-setting 2026 edition.
