Serena Williams shows her 2013 Australian Open dress

After triumphing at the Brisbane International, Serena Williams took off to Melbourne and has been there this week, seriously preparing for the Australian Open. But you know that WTA stars always do more than just practice and tennis. Yesterday in Melbourne, the American launched the Nike Training Club app that provides various workout plans with multiple difficulty levels and presented her Australian Open dress – Nike Women’s Grand Pleated Knit Dress

Too many players will match the yellow of the Australian sun, including the Nike representative Maria Sharapova, but Serena went for purple with color-blocking that adds the touch of orange. The design is traditional Serena – sporty, comfortable, wide straps, pleated skirt. All in all, another great merging of classic and modern that perfectly fits Serena’s style and body.

There is one more version of the dress – black with yellow and grey color-blocking. (source: The Slice)

  1. I’m not sure how I feel about it just LOOKING at it, I actually prefer the other version, but with Serena’s body… I know she’ll make it work.

  2. Nothing special, Seren’s style, but at least it’s not yellow. 😀 I love the stripes on the top, the bottom part is not my favorite, but, all in all, Serena will look cool.

  3. I don’t know about all the styles for the AO… I think I need to see them in action. I definitely don’t like Maria’s look though.
