Flavia Pennetta dating Italian model/actor/writer Andrea Preti

I few days ago I revamped my WTA Players and their Boyfriends/Husbands page, adding to it practically all the articles belonging to the topic since the start of my blog and now it’s probably the richest, if not the only, resource of the kind both online and offline. Some of my readers have noticed the page has been updated and hinted me about some relationships of WTA players that I can include. In particular, Women’s Tennis Blog’s reader Linda told me about the boyfriend of Flavia Pennetta and referred me to extensive coverage of the relationship.

I would first like to remind you that Flavia went through an absolutely devastating breakup with fellow tennis player Carlos Moya, which happened back in 2007, and which can be best described my the following quote of Flavia herself:

I put everything aside to support him. If you count the times I did it, probably the number is in itself ridiculous. My passion was him, I gave myself completely, and I lost my balance…[after the break-up] People felt sorry for me and I could not even defend myself. It was as if I had lost my taste for things. I was trying to be numb towards life, not to feel pain. I did not even feel physical pain. A silly example: even when I was waxing, I did not even feel anything.

The 31-year-old Italian now has a younger boyfriend, six years her junior, who is an Italian actor, model and a writer. His name is Andrea Preti. They have been dating since the spring of 2013, but they haven’t commented on their relationship much. Still, on social networking sites there are quite a few confirmations of their love.

From what we can tell by their tweets on where they are, they seem to be spending as much time together as they can. Also, Andrea regularly posts pictures of Flavia or of them together on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

And last but not least, our reader Linda herself made the above paparazzi footage of the couple at this year’s Roland Garros. 😉
