Maria Sharapova is spreading her empire, no surprise! The business-savvy tennis champion is adding co-ownership of a UV-focused skincare company Supergoop! to her long list of off-court endeavors.
According to Forbes, Sharapova earned $23 million aside from tennis last year and now she’s investing further, in something that is a natural part of tennis players’ everyday routine – sunscreen. As stated at Sharapova’s official website, the partnership is “organic”, as she already used the 6-year-old company’s products.
The highest-paid female athlete is partnered with Nike for on-court clothes, Samsung for mobile phones, Porsche for cruises through the city, TAG Heuer for luxury watches, when it comes to hydration there’s Evian, while for her sugar cravings of course there’s Sugarpova. (photo: Ralf Reinecke)
IDK if Maria Sharapova still care about her tennis career with all this business she either owns or us partner in. I started to wonder this her last year of tennis.
Dxana, she’s proved that she can handle it all. She’s not the type to be distracted, she knows very well what she’s doing.
It’s not like she has to physically run these companies on her own. I love that top female tennis players are investing in companies. Venus Williams owns juice/smoothie chains and her own design firm. Of course Serena has many business ventures. It’s better to read about this than the bankruptcies and business failures suffered by many male professional athletes. These woman are role models as entrepreneurs and athletes.
