Indian Wells is getting ready for the 2017 edition of the BNP Paribas Open, one of the tour’s favorite events. Dubbed “Tennis Paradise” for a good reason, the scenic tournament site was busy with plenty of practice action on Sunday, ahead of Monday’s first-round qualifying action.
Besides taking photos of some practice sessions such as those of Naomi Osaka, Sam Stosur, Jelena Jankovic, and others, Women’s Tennis Blog’s photographer Jimmie48 also captured the atmosphere from the venue, like the board wishing Petra Kvitova a fast recovery from last December’s burglar attack and a photo of the 2016 champion Victoria Azarenka, who is skipping the tournament this year because of becoming a mother.
