Three years after getting married to her coach Tim Sommer, Luxembourg’s Mandy Minella announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl Emma Lina.

Posting the above photo on Twitter, the 31-year-old Mandy said: “Your first breath took ours away.”

Minella famously played Wimbledon while being four and a half months pregnant. She lost her singles opener to Francesca Schiavone, while she finally started her pregnancy leave after a first-round doubles loss alongside partner Anastasija Sevastova to Ipek Soylu and Varatchaya Wongteanchai.

If we can rely on what Minella said during Wimbledon, we can expect her to come back to professional tennis, just like Victoria Azarenka, Tatjana Maria, Kateryna Bondarenko and other WTA moms: “I would like to get back in shape, also for me, and I would like to finish on my terms as well, so we will see where it will bring me.”

Congratulations to the new parents! Enjoy your time with your healthy baby girl!
