Everything has its expiration date and when it comes to the relationship between Donna Vekic and Stan Wawrinka, it lasted about four years. The word that the tennis stars are no longer together has been out for a few weeks now, but there is no statement on the breakup by either of them.
In a recent interview in Geneva, the 34-year-old Wawrinka didn’t want to comment on the rumored split, but he stated:
I won three Grand Slam titles and more tournaments than I hoped to. So, during my career, I had to do more than just caring about my private life.
The 22-year-old Vekic is also not mentioning the split, rather, she’s enjoying the sun of Monte Carlo after her fourth-round exit at Roland Garros. However, these photos with her supposed ex are still on her Instagram, even though she’s not following Wawrinka’s profile any more and he’s also not following hers.
The relationship between Donna and Stan had several dramatic moments in the media limelight. They started dating while Stan was divorcing his wife Ilham Vuilloud, with whom he has daughter Alexia born in 2010. The divorce was finalized in 2015 and Ilham, a Swiss television presenter and former fashion model, said that the reason for the broken marriage was Stan’s infidelity, as can be concluded from her statement:
No, trips and tournaments are not the cause of our separation. Besides, other players, ranked higher than him, handle family life very well. His instability, desire to regain his freedom—at all levels—are the source. And I have to admit the repeated fibs and emotional betrayals eventually destroyed entirely the confidence I had in him.
The most controversial moment regarding the romance of Donna and Stan was when Nick Kyrgios addressed the Croatian WTA star having intercourse with Australian tennis player Thanasi Kokkinakis, using very graphic language. During his match against Wawrinka at the 2015 Rogers Cup, on-court microphones recorded Kyrgios saying “Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend. Sorry to tell you that, mate.” Kyrgios was also heard muttering “banging an 18-year-old”, apparently referring to Wawrinka.
I never liked Vekic, she is a hoe for sleeping around with other men while dating one guy, maybe Kyrgios had a point, just an inappropriate way of exposing it!
Same goes with Stan, but at least he backed it up with his talent with winning major tournaments.
Vekic on the other hand, still have alot to do in order to shut the haters!

They are both amazing tennis players and enjoy watching them.
People overlook how young Donna Vecik is and how much she has accomplished for her age, I’m sure she will go from strength to strength.

Without excusing either of them – I don’t believe people understand how difficult it is for tennis pros to maintain personal relationships. They travel all over the world maybe 40 weeks a year and are always practicing or rehabbing when they’’re not,
Honestly. It probably has to do with Cockinakis lol. I’m pretty sure if they didnt sleep together then Kyrgios would not have brought that up. I am pretty sure Wawrinka to this DAY remembered the moment he had an image that another dude is having his you know what inside his current girlfriend. As serious as Stan Wawrinka, that will definitely make him wanna bounce out.

I`m very sad age has nothing to do with Love..she was always in his box and always to happy to be there he other words was brarely following her career hope she will move on and her tennis is much better now that she has him off of her back..

I hope they enjoyed their time together.
Whatever caused the breakup is THEIR business. I refuse to speculate on causes, blame, or details; I’m sure there were valid reasons, and only hope the split was (and continues to be) amicable.
I wish them both the best in their careers and in their lives.
We all know Stan is actually in love with Roger. Vekic seems like a smokescreen. Lol.
