Ons Jabeur of Tunisia is the all-time best Arab tennis player and her on-court successes have now led to a sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways, a multiple award-winning airline.

As a frequent flier, Jabeur definitely knows how to ensure a good travel experience:

I’m extremely proud to become Brand Ambassador for a such a prestigious airline. As a professional tennis player, I travel extensively around the world and Qatar Airways is the best airline I have traveled with. I look forward to enjoying their fabulous service and comfort as much as possible over the coming year.

Qatar Airways has strong ties with Ons’ home country, having operated flights to the capital Tunis since 2005. The world No.31 Jabeur will wear the Qatar Airways logo on her apparel at major tournaments in 2021.

The 26-year-old Jabeur is the highest-ranked Arab player in history and the first Arab woman to reach quarterfinals of a Grand Slam (Australian Open 2020).

  1. Qatar airways is the one that treated women very badly by giving them internal examinations before letting them on their flight. Till I realised that I was going to say good for Ons, she deserves it, but now I say, how could she accept sponsorship from an airline that did something like that? All about the money for her I suppose, and for them, damage control. See https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-10-25/passengers-invasively-searched-qatar-after-report-baby-found/12811716

  2. CLT, this incident was very bizarre to say the least. On the other hand, if we looked at it that way, most, if not all, big companies are guilty of at least some sort of misconduct.
