Retired WTA star Barbora Strycova is now a mom! The Czech announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy named Vincent.
Sharing a photo of her newborn peacefully sleeping in a cot while holding a stuffed animal toy, the 35-year-old informed the tennis world about the happy news.

Strycova announced her pregnancy in March, as she showed her baby bump while relaxing in the sunshine outside. She continued to keep us in the loop about her pregnancy and even did a photoshoot shortly before the delivery.

The baby daddy is Petr Matejcek, editor-in-chief of Esquire Czech Republic. They have been dating for several years now. Congratulations to the proud parents!
Strycova officially hung up her tennis racquet in May this year. The retirement felt weird to the Czech former doubles world No.1, but it was the right thing to do:
Even through all the pain, tears, renunciation and sweat, all the great moments and victories were worth it! I never planned to end my career during a pandemic. However, some moments in life just can’t be planned and I am super excited for my next life role as a mom.
