Garbine Muguruza and her boyfriend Arthur Borges glammed up for the “Vanity Fair Person of the Year” award gala on Wednesday in Madrid, Spain.
For her first red carpet appearance with new boyfriend Arthur Borges, the world No.3 Muguruza embraced 1950s Hollywood glam. The two-time Grand Slam champion dazzled in a white one-shoulder gown full of feathers, designed by Tot-Hom, a fashion company from Barcelona. The Spaniard’s red clutch is by Roger Vivier, a French luxury accessories brand. Dior sponsored her make-up look and Suarez her jewelry.
After winning the prestigious Akron WTA Finals Guadalajara title last month and revealing her boyfriend at the trophy ceremony, Muguruza went on a vacation in the Caribbean. The Spanish WTA player regularly posted vacation photos on Instagram, but she didn’t publicly display her partner, although it was evident that she was there with a man, as we could see male legs in a short video clip from one of their boat rides.
After relaxing in the Caribbean, Muguruza arrived in Spain to attend a series of public events. First she met with King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain at the official reception at the Royal Palace on Tuesday, November 30 in Madrid. A day later, the 28-year-old tennis player was ready for another big event, the Vanity Fair gala held at the Royal Palace on December 1. (photos via Muguruza’s Instagram stories)
