The Hologic WTA Tour, that’s what we’ll call the women’s circuit from now on. The WTA has signed a multi-year, multimillion-dollar deal with Hologic, a medical technology company primarily focused on improving women’s health and wellbeing.

The largest global sponsorship in the WTA’s history was announced on Thursday and Hologic is already included in the logo on the WTA website. Until 2010 we had the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, but when that partnership ended, for over a decade the WTA was without a title sponsor.

The new groundbreaking partnership strives to achieve significant progress through a shared vision of greater wellness and equality for women. Hologic has state-of-the-art products when it comes to diagnostics, imaging systems and surgical devices. The company is especially committed to preventive care, early detection, reducing disparities in healthcare access and education, and unique research that helps the global prioritization of women’s health.
