World No.2 Barbora Krejcikova has signed a clothing sponsorship deal with Fila, just in time for her title defence at the French Open.
The Czech player triumphed at the clay-court Grand Slam in both singles and doubles last year and now the former Head apparel representative will return to Paris sporting the Fila logo. It’s good to see Fila enriching their roster of endorsed athletes now that their most prominent representative Ashleigh Barty has left the sport.
Barbora Krejcikova will debut a variety of pieces from Fila’s Center Court collection in Paris. The collection’s colorful palette features pink peacock, blue iolite and evening primrose hues, and a galaxy print intermixed with classic black and white tones.
The 26-year-old will showcase two distinct silhouettes – a vibrant pink Racerback Tank with a mid-back keyhole, paired with a white 13 ½” skort with pleated detailing throughout; and a white Racerback Tank with pops of evening primrose coloring, paired with the eye-catching galaxy print 13 ½” skort.
To avoid confusion, these promo photos of Krejcikova show her wearing items from the Bevans Park collection, debuted at the BNP Paribas Open, in particular the Fila Bevans Park Laser Racerback Tank and Fila Bevans Park High Waist Skirt.
Barbora Krejcikova commented on her new partnership:
It is an honor to step onto the court and represent a brand with such an iconic history in the game. I am grateful to Fila for the support and the opportunity to join the elite group of athletes who have worn the brand. I look forward to working together as I take my career to the next level.
Gene Yoon, Global Chairman at FILA, said:
Barbora has made incredible strides to elevate her game over the last few seasons. Her rise to a top 5 ranked player in singles and doubles has been both impressive and inspiring, as she has worked to cement herself among the WTA’s top stars. We are thrilled to welcome Barbora to the FILA family, as we continue our legacy of sponsoring champions on and off the court.
Krejcikova was spotted practicing at Roland Garros on Thursday and thanks to a photo by Jimmie48 we can see she’s wearing Fila gear.
The new Fila Center Court collection is available at Tennis Warehouse USA.
