Czech tennis player Kristyna Pliskova and her husband David Hancko welcomed their first child, a boy named Adam.
“Welcome, Adamko. We love you,” the 30-year-old Pliskova wrote on Instagram as she published a family photo with her newborn.

Pliskova’s husband is a 24-year-old Slovak professional footballer who plays for Czech First League club Sparta Prague. There was a possibility that Hancko would have to move back from Sparta to Fiorentina, where he belongs as a regular player, but he extended his hosting contract last summer, primarily because of Pliskova.
Kristyna Pliskova and David Hancko got engaged in July 2021. The couple revealed the baby news in December 2021. In February 2022, they crowned their relationship with marriage. The wedding ceremony was intimate, as Pliskova was well into her pregnancy so she didn’t want a big celebration.
The last WTA tournament Pliskova played was the Astana Open in late September 2021, where she lost in the first round to Varvara Gracheva. She is currently ranked No.224 in singles.
