The hot tennis couple is set to compete together as part of Team Kites. Joining them in Abu Dhabi will be their teammates Aryna Sabalenka and Grigor Dimitrov. The tournament will feature three additional teams — Eagles (Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Mirra Andreeva, and Sofia Kenin), Falcons (Miomir Kecmanovic, Taylor Fritz, Leylah Fernandez, and Elena Rybakina), and Hawks (Iga Swiatek, Caroline Garcia, Casper Ruud, and Hubert Hurkacz).

The event will showcase performances by a number music stars including 50 Cent, Ne-Yo, Akon, UB40, The Original Wailers, and The Trojan Sound System.

Badosa and Tsitsipas had plans to debut as a mixed doubles pair at Wimbledon earlier this year. However, Badosa was forced to retire from her second-round singles match due to an ongoing stress fracture in her back, preventing their partnership in the tournament.
