The three-time Grand Slam champion Kerber is gearing up to launch her comeback at tournaments Down Under. Her first child, a girl named Liana, who will celebrate her first birthday on February 25, is accompanying her mom on this transcontinental trip. To make this big family event even more memorable, Kerber’s racquet sponsor Yonex has provided the mom and daughter with personalized bags and VCORE racquets.

Kerber’s VCORE 100 racquet features “Angie” written on the frame, as well as the silhouettes representing the cities where she won her three major titles — a kangaroo standing for Melbourne, the Big Ben for London, and the Statue of Liberty for New York City. Little Liana has her name written on her cute tiny racquet and her red Yonex backpack.

The 2024 United Cup will be Kerber’s first tournament since Wimbledon 2022. Alongside Alexander Zverev, Kerber will represent Germany at this mixed-teams event that will take place from December 29 to January 7 in Perth and Sydney. Then the former world No.1 will head to the Adelaide International, a combined WTA 500 and ATP 250 event.
