Credit One Bank, a prominent credit card issuer in the United States, has proudly unveiled a sponsorship agreement with American tennis player Emma Navarro. This exciting collaboration comes hot on the heels of Navarro’s recent triumph at the Hobart International, where she secured her first WTA Tour title.

For Credit One Bank, this sponsorship deal represents a strategic expansion into the dynamic realm of professional tennis. Known for its role as an official sponsor of the Cincinnati Open and the title sponsor of the Charleston Open, the bank’s partnership with Navarro is poised to elevate its presence in the sport even further.

Amber Greenwalt, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Credit One Bank, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “As we delve deeper into the amazing tennis community, we welcome Emma Navarro to the Credit One Bank family with open arms. Emma’s career has kept us on the edge of our seats, and we’re excited to embark on this incredible new chapter with her.”

Navarro’s journey in tennis began long before her professional debut in June 2022. She finished 2019 ranked as the No.3 junior in the world and the No.1 blue-chip recruit. Then as a college tennis player at the University of Virginia, she held a 51-3 record and won the NCAA singles championship as a freshman. In May 2023, less than a year after turning pro, she broke into the WTA Top 100, while right now she’s at a career-high ranking of No.26.

Credit One Bank is proud to support Navarro on her journey, and the partnership goes beyond just logo placement on the American’s Fila tennis outfits. It will also include community outreach initiatives and activations at tournaments to engage with fans and promote the sport of tennis.

Expressing gratitude for the support she has received, Navarro said, “I’m grateful for everyone who has supported me as my career has taken off. I want to continue improving myself as a player while connecting with fans, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings with Credit One Bank.”

  1. Resya, wow, I didn’t know that. You’re right! As per Wikipedia: “Benjamin W. Navarro (born 1962 or 1963) is an American businessman, the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Sherman Financial Group, LLC, which owns Credit One Bank.”

  2. A lot of companies would love to sponsor a player who has risen up the rankings as quickly as Emma, who works hard, who has respect for the game and whose dedication to being the best is amazing. So for a proud father who has the ability to do so, sponsoring Emma is a no-brainer.

  3. Bruce, I came across an old interview of Emma’s father, who praised her determination and work ethic: “I don’t know if you’re supposed to say this about your 17-year-old daughter, but she’s an inspiration to me. She’s up before school and does a brutal workout and then hits, then goes to school and practices again, comes home and does her homework and is happy as heck doing it all. I’m quite inspired by her focus and drive.”
