The Billie Jean King Cup, known as the ‘World Cup of Tennis,’ features over 100 nations competing annually. The qualifying competition is one of eight held worldwide in April, with the winners advancing to the 12-nation Billie Jean King Cup Finals this fall in Seville, Spain. The United States leads all nations in all-time titles, with 18 wins.

The qualifier will be a best-of-five match series played on an outdoor hard court. It will begin on Friday, April 12, with two singles matches starting at 6 p.m. The event will continue on Saturday, April 13, with two reverse singles matches and a doubles match starting at 2 p.m. There is a possibility of an amended schedule on Saturday if one nation clinches victory early.

This event marks the first for Lindsay Davenport as team captain. Davenport, an International Tennis Hall of Famer and four-time year-end world No.1, was one of the most successful U.S. Billie Jean King Cup players in history, leading the U.S. to titles in 1996, 1999, and 2000.

Tennis Channel will provide TV coverage of the event in the U.S.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the public for Friday’s and Saturday’s matches through the USTA’s Billie Jean King Cup Qualifier Round Sweepstakes. Fans can enter for up to two complimentary tickets by visiting USTANationalCampus.com.

The National Campus will also host a free Family Fun Day alongside Saturday’s matches, featuring play opportunities and other activities. Registration is available via USTANationalCampus.com.
