Recently retired Alison Van Uytvanck has welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Féline, with her wife Emilie Vermeiren.

The former Belgian world No. 37 and five-time WTA singles champion stepped away from professional tennis in August 2024 after a long and difficult recovery from a severe injury, one that took a toll both physically and mentally. Van Uytvanck and Vermeiren, who married in July 2023, shared their pregnancy news this May during Roland Garros with a sweet reveal: a tiny tennis-themed onesie emblazoned with “Born to play tennis like my mommy.”

They then announced that the due date was set for November — and everything went according to plan. Baby Féline arrived on November 24, and the couple introduced her to the world with a tender photo of their hands gently holding their daughter’s tiny fingers.

Just weeks earlier, Van Uytvanck had posted a series of photos celebrating her pregnant wife, captioned simply: “Love makes a family.”
