With the second half of quarterfinal action complete, Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova have joined Coco Gauff and Karolina Muchova in the Wimbledon semifinals.

Marta Kostyuk

On Centre Court, 12th seed Marta Kostyuk cruised past 2024 Wimbledon finalist Jasmine Paolini 6-3 6-2 in just 69 minutes.

The Ukrainian seized control early, opening up a 4-2 lead in the first set. Paolini avoided being broken in consecutive service games by holding for 3-4, but was broken again the next time she served as Kostyuk comfortably closed out the opener.

Kostyuk maintained her momentum in the second set, racing to a 4-1 advantage before breaking Paolini once more in the final game to seal victory. With the win, she became only the second Ukrainian woman to reach the Wimbledon semifinals, following Elina Svitolina’s runs in 2019 and 2023.

Linda Noskova

Meanwhile on Court 1, ninth seed Linda Noskova booked her place in the Wimbledon semifinals with a 6-3 7-5 victory over No. 25 seed Elise Mertens in their first career meeting.

Mertens showed resilience early in the match, saving three break points in the fourth game of the opening set. However, the Belgian could not fend off another challenge in the eighth game, as Noskova secured the decisive break before serving out the set to love for 6-3.

At 2-1 in the second set, Mertens called for a medical timeout to receive treatment on her left leg and appeared to struggle with her movement for the remainder of the match. Despite the issue, she fought well, having saved three break points in the opening game of the set and another three in a marathon ninth game that lasted more than seven minutes. The last of those saves came with a remarkable defensive winner after Noskova seemed certain to finish the point.

The second set stayed on serve until 5-5, when Noskova finally earned the decisive break on her seventh break point of the set before serving out the match to book her place in the final four of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career.

The victory makes Noskova the second Czech woman to reach this year’s Wimbledon semifinals, joining Karolina Muchova.

The 21-year-old has established herself as one of the Tour’s strongest grass-court performers. Over the past two seasons, Noskova has won 18 main-draw matches on the surface, more than any other WTA player, ahead of Elise Mertens (15), Emma Navarro (15) and Amanda Anisimova (15). She has also improved to 10-1 on grass in 2026, surpassing her previous career-best of eight wins in a single season, set in 2025.

Mertens, meanwhile, leaves Wimbledon after another strong run at the All England Club. The Belgian is a two-time Wimbledon doubles champion, having lifted the title in 2021 alongside Hsieh Su-Wei and again in 2025 with Veronika Kudermetova.
