Jelena Jankovic Fila dress for Roland Garros 2014

The focus of the tennis world is currently on Miami, but behind the scenes everyone is already getting ready for Roland Garros. We have already seen the Adidas dress that Ana Ivanovic will most probably wear at the Grand Slam she once won, and now her compatriot Jelena Jankovic tweeted this sneak peek of her Roland Garros dress, which belongs to Fila’s Heritage collection and is the work of designer Ginny Hilfiger.

UPDATE: The dress is now available at Tennis Warehouse and it is called Fila Women’s Spring Heritage Mitered Stripe Dress.

Navy is always a great choice for the French Open clay, but Fila definitely went the distance by making a classic white and navy combination edgy with stripes and fringe skirt. There may be too many stripes in too many directions, but the dress is definitely fun. It resembles cheerleading poms!

Actually, it’s nothing new from Fila – remember the carwash dress JJ wore this time last year? It will surely stay remembered in the history of tennis clothing, as for me, it made my Memorable Tennis Fashion board on Pinterest.

The seventh-seeded Jankovic enjoyed a first-round bye at the Sony Open Tennis in Miami and today she will face Varvara Lepchenko. We still don’t know what her outfit of choice will be, but probably the pink Fila Women’s Spring Baseline Racer Dress she wore in Indian Wells.
