Lotto has always been a bland brand, never going over the top and distancing from basic and conservative designs and colors, but it seems that the Italian company has heard the cry of the fashion-loving tennis world and introduced a floral print to Agnieszka Radwanska‘s dress for Rome and Roland Garros. It reminds me a bit of Venus’ Williams floral EleVen dress for the last year’s US Open.
The Polish world No. 3 posed next to the Colosseum in Rome and shared the photo on her official Facebook page this morning (thank you, Dxana, for telling me about it!). At the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, Radwanska will face Paula Ormaechea after a first-round bye.
The dress is available at Tennis Warehouse for the US market, while Europeans can order it here.
As a reminder of the overly simple Lotto we’re used to, check out our overview of all Aga’s Lotto outfits in 2012, featured in our signature Fashion Retrospections section.
Do you like Lotto’s venture into a more fashion-risky world or you preferred them the way they were, with simple designs and non-experimental color combos?
HERE’S WHAT OTHER BIG BRANDS PREPARED FOR THE UPCOMING FRENCH OPEN:
- Fila outfits for Julia Goerges, Nadia Petrova, Vera Zvonareva and Yaroslava Shvedova
- Fila Women’s Spring Heritage Mitered Stripe Dress for Jelena Jankovic
- Nike styles for Serena, Sharapova and Azarenka
- Adidas navy dress for Ana Ivanovic
Cute as a button! Nice too something different from Aga & Lotto ☺
PeteTweet, definitely a step in the right direction, IMO!
It definitely looks quite similar to the dress Venus wore at the US Open! But I’m glad it’s not always the same from Lotto.
I like Lotto are trying something new but I like see more of the design before I make decision if like it lol
Glad I was able to tip you on this.
Bella!! Aga looks great!
She looks lovely! I think I am in love with her, haha. She’s a gorgeous young lady and I really enjoy her game as well, such a treat to watch. Elegance and beauty to her game.
I just saw the dress on Makarova (she is playing right now against Vinci in Rome): the floral print looks awful, at least on Makarova…
Lovely dress! I want it! I always thought Aga should change her clothing sponsor, because the outfits are butt-ugly and unflattering on the best body. Not even Aga can pull it off! Thankfully, they have come up with this beauty of a floral spring dress with lovely matching compression pants. I am ordering it as soon as it’s available in the US.
Vera, you’re so far the most excited about the change of Lotto’s approach! 🙂 I hope Lotto is reading all these positive comments and will not get back to dull designs.
Absolutely love the flowery dress about time they introduced some girly fabrics. Here in Spain we can wear these lovely bright colours not the standard black white and navy that you get in the UK
WTA has published a story about this dress and the video clip from the photoshoot. The dress is from the Lotto Maddy Dress collection and “features floral print that echoes a theme of booming meadows and springtime, is the first of three limited edition dresses that take inspiration from the fashion world without conceding technical performance. The second dress will be revealed at the US Open in late August and the third one will be unveiled at the BNP Paribas WTA Championships Singapore presented by SC Global.”
