Romanian Andreea Mitu proudly joins the ever-growing WTA mom club, having given birth to son Adam a couple of days ago. Nurseries at WTA tournaments are about to become a necessity!
The 26-year-old Mitu kept us informed throughout her pregnancy, frequently posting pictures of her growing belly. Mitu and her fiancé, Laurent, even organized a professional photoshoot in the tennis star’s final stage of pregnancy.
The player whose highest WTA ranking was No.68 in singles and No.69 in doubles first announced her pregnancy in July and while her plan was to get married before the baby arrives, it seems that the wedding has not taken place yet.
I read at a Romanian website that Mitu’s plan is to resume training in spring, having played her last match in May 2017. Let’s not rush with career obligations, though, it’s now time for Andreea to enjoy time with her little angel!
