Our photographer Jimmie48 continued his Qatar Total Open coverage on Friday, taking photos of all four quarterfinals that took place at the Premier 5 tournament.
World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki defended her ranking by battling past Angelique Kerber, who suffered only her second loss in 2018. Petra Kvitova‘s quarterfinal opponent Julia Goerges retired in the second set, due to a hip injury she sustained while practicing in Doha ahead of the tournament. Garbine Muguruza rallied past Caroline Garcia and then leaped into the final, as Simona Halep, following her win over Catherine Bellis in the quarterfinals, withdrew due to a right foot injury.
