My photographer Jimmie48 was busy photographing players getting ready for the WTA’s International Women’s Day shoot, so this year he skipped qualifying action and started the BNP Paribas Open coverage on Wednesday, the day marked by Naomi Osaka‘s 6-4 6-4 first-round victory over Maria Sharapova. Masha debuted the orange version of her Australian Open dress, i.e. the Nike Spring Maria Dress, and we can see that the design was a common sight on the courts at Indian Wells, as Belinda Bencic and Amanda Anisimova also sported it on their way into the second round. Bencic played a marathon against Timea Babos, who introduced Fila’s Sweetspot collection that I wrote about a couple of days ago.
