WTA players celebrate Christmas and head to Australia

WTA stars took to social media to give us a glimpse at how they spent Christmas. Some were in the warmth of their big family, some were alone or with pets, but in good spirit, some enjoyed time with their love partners, while some were having fun with friends on the beach. The holiday season doesn’t give women’s tennis players a lot of time to relax, though, as the new season is just around the corner and a lot of them are already in Australia or New Zealand.

Genie Bouchard had a bikini Christmas in Hawaii. The Canadian then traveled 23 hours forward in time and is already in Auckland, New Zealand, attending the Boxing Day races.

Sloane Stephens was in the arms of her man, Jozy Altidore.

Kristina Mladenovic was in Dubai with her boyfriend Dominic Thiem.

Martina Hingis enjoyed her first Christmas in marriage with Harald Leemann.

Caroline Wozniacki, her fiancé David Lee and a bunch of family members got their Christmas sweaters and smiles on.

Also feeling the warmth of a big family was Timea Bacsinszky.

When you have a dog, you’re never alone. Heather Watson, Samantha Crawford and Laura Robson know it!

Some WTA players wished their fans a Merry Christmas by posting typical Christmas tree selfies.

And to save the best for the last, Andrea Petkovic is singing to all the lonely souls this Christmas.
