Awaiting the Australian Open to start, WTA players showed their red-carpet style at the IMG Crown Tennis Party in Melbourne.

Defending champion Caroline Wozniacki rocked a long-sleeved black flounce dress and a casual ponytail over one shoulder.

The 2016 Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber opted for a loose floral print dress.

Also indulging in flowers was Latvian Jelena Ostapenko.

Genie Bouchard‘s Nike on-court looks often feature crop tops (at this year’s Australian Open she’s expected to wear the Spring Breathe Slam Top, which is a semi-cropped design) and the Canadian also likes to sport them in her private life. For the IMG red carpet Bouchard went for a bold blue ensemble: a bra top and tight shorts!

Donna Vekic showed up in a sleeveless blue dress, which is youthful and elegant, but it would also work well on the tennis court, wouldn’t it? We’ve had similar tight-fitted silhouettes in the WTA fashion, especially by Stella McCartney.

Garbine Muguruza prefers business, office style. Her red-carpet appearances are often in black and white clothing. The Spaniard likes to wear formal white shirts.

Monica Puig opted for a traditional glamorous look with her sparkly dress and wavy hair.

Fresh Sydney International champion Petra Kvitova is already in Melbourne and the Czech made it to the party in a knee-length black-and-white pleated dress.

Sloane Stephens had the most fun with her outfit! The American paired a white Michael Jackson t-shirt and tight belted pink leather mini skirt!

  1. Monica is so beautiful and well put together. Garbine looks cute. I like her blouse a lot. Not feeling Sloane’s hair/wig at all. I often wonder why she doesn’t wear her natural hair. That MJ T-shirt with his original gorgeous face is the icing on the cake, however. How come I don’t remember that Caroline W. is the defending AO champion? How in the world did that even happen? Got a feeling that won’t be happening again. On another note, I’m going to miss my boy Andy Murray in the future. Godspeed, dear one! You’re still a great champion.

  2. Agreed, Veronika. Also, Genie’s face looks pale and tired, like she has no eye makeup on or something. She really is a pretty young lady when competing on court. Have no idea why she chose to look this way at such an occasion; seemingly inappropriate.

  3. Veronika, The Real Deal, Bouchard posted her red-carpet photo on Instagram, caption reads: “When you have a red carpet at 6 and an 80s dance class at 7” hahaha.
