After more than three years of dating, Serbian tennis star Jovana Jaksic and her 23 years older partner Vujadin Jovic are tying the knot this Sunday. About the time they made their relationship public, I covered their romantic story in my WTA Players and their Love Partners category.
Despite the age difference, they look like a lovely couple. Jaksic often posts their pics together and describes her partner as the love of her life, her soul mate, and best friend. They live together in Sacramento.
The public first heard about the wedding when Bulgarian tennis player Elitsa Kostova published on her Instagram a conversation with Jaksic when she asked her whether she was ready for the wedding and how many days were left till the ceremony. Jaksic then replied that Sunday was the day.
The highlight of Jaksic’s career was the 2014 Monterrey final when she lost to compatriot Ana Ivanovic. Earlier in 2014, Jaksic famously saved 14 match points to win her 14th ITF title. Right now she’s ranked No.227, while her highest ranking was No.102.

I know some people can be concerned about age differences, especially since this is such a big one – twenty years is old enough to be someone’s parent! – but I say, if you feel like you’re in love with someone, go for it!
