Lacoste Roland Garros 2025 collection

Had there not been for the COVID-19 pandemic, the French Open would’ve been in full swing now. Despite the lengthy hiatus in the tennis season, most sportswear companies have released new collections in time for the originally scheduled Roland Garros.

So far I’ve written about Adidas’ Prime Blue collection, Lacoste’s blue ombre designs, Nike’s Paris-inspired apparel, including the glamorous dress from Maria Sharapova’s line, while late last year I presented all Venus Williams’ EleVen outfits for the Spring/Summer 2020 period. Now I want to show you what Asics and their leading representative Julia Goerges would’ve launched at the claycourt Grand Slam this fortnight.

Blue outfits tend to be the best choice for tournaments on red dirt, so Asics went for a combination of sky blue and navy with gold detailing.

The promotional photo shows Goerges in the Asics Summer Elite Tank, a traditional racerback silhouette with plenty of mesh sections for superior airflow in high-heat areas.

The 38th-ranked German is combining the top with the Asics Summer Elite Skirt, available in navy and in white, another quick-drying piece with strategically-placed mesh areas. Also a good match is the Asics Summer Club Skirt, a wrap design with diagonal blocks of color.

Just like the rest of the collection, the Asics Summer Elite Dress is packed with performance features. Besides both visually appealing and functional mesh elements, a large bell-shaped cutout is another stylish touch with the purpose of improving ventilation.

The contrasting waistband and gold detailing at center back enhance elegance of this tennis clothing item.

Perfectly matching the Asics Summer 2020 clothes is the Solution Speed FF Peacoat/Rose Gold Women’s Shoe.

Asics apparel is available online at Tennis Warehouse USA and Tennis Warehouse Europe.
