A new relationship between tennis players is confirmed: top-ranked Australian ATP player Alex de Minaur is dating British WTA world No.318 Katie Boulter.
On March 8th, the 22-year-old De Minaur posted a selfie with Boulter, saying:
Happy International Women’s Day!! Specially to this one, I don’t mind you.
WTA players Laura Robson, Katie Swan and Sloane Stephens shared their excitement in the comments, while Boulter commented “Guess you’re OK too” with a heart and a kissing emoji.
They’ve been together for a year now, as we learned from the 24-year-old Boulter’s recent Instagram post. The British beauty posted the same selfie on her feed a week ago and said:
Not sure how you’ve put up with me this long. Happy one year.
Boulter is yet to win a WTA title, while her highest ranking was No.82. Her mother is an ex-tennis coach, who played tennis at county level and represented Great Britain a few times.
Four-time ATP Tour singles champion De Minaur is currently ranked No.23, while he used to be a Top 20 member. He was born in Sydney to an Uruguayan father and a Spanish mother. He splits time between Australia and Spain.
