Naomi Osaka is on top of the world with her four Grand Slam titles and new multi-million dollar brand deals coming up constantly. It’s not often that we see career and love life thriving at the same time, but the 23-year-old tennis champion is a lucky woman, enjoying a happy long-term relationship with rapper Cordae. In her recent Instagram post, the Japanese revisited one past situation that shows just how much support and dedication her boyfriend is giving her.
“The appreciation post for the mister, because I feel like it today,” is the opening sentence of Naomi’s message.
As Naomi was in the 2020 US Open bubble because of the COVID-19 pandemic, she called Cordae and told him how sad and lonely she felt. He stopped everything he was doing, hopped on a plane, arrived to New York City, quarantined for a few days, and came to see Naomi, who went on to win the tournament.
Cordae’s reaction to his girlfriend’s victory went viral. Get you someone who supports you like Cordae supports Naomi!

This is not the first time that Naomi is openly showing appreciation for her boyfriend. For his birthday last year, Naomi shared a photo where they were looking into each other’s eyes and said:
I always feel so lucky to be in your life and to be continuously learning from you. I‘m so grateful that I can talk to you about anything and ask for advice (cause you know I need all the help I can get lol). I love that you lay down and wait for me to go to sleep before you go record. Etc because the list goes on forever… I hope you’re having the best birthday, I’m sad I can’t be there but I’ll make it up to you happy 23rd, I love you Cordae <3.
Naomi and Cordae have been dating for about two years now. When they first met during a Los Angeles Clippers game, Naomi’s first impression was that Cordae was clumsy, because he knocked over a glass. Their first kiss happened in Indian Wells, while a trip to Rhode Island was their most memorable date. They made the relationship public in September 2019, when Naomi posted a photo of them hugging near LA’s Hollywood sign.
