Wilson’s new design DNA responds to the instinctive athleticism of today’s player. Blade v8 keeps a patent-protected layup technology that was originally used in the Blade v7 under the name FeelFlex to increase flexibility and stability without compromising power. Now called FORTYFIVE°, the technology allows a more connected-to-the-ball feel and helps the racquet bend in ways that compliment the modern game.

Blade v8’s end cap is directly connected to a newly tapered carbon fiber portion of the handle to improve feel and increase torsional stability.

The racquet changes color under different angles and light conditions, shifting from an earthy dark green to an elemental copper, shades that represent the wilderness of nature.

Pricing is $229 for the Blade 98 16×19 v8.0 and Blade 98 18×20 v8.0 and $219 for the Blade 98 100L v8.0 and Blade 104 v8.0.

Simona Halep is one of many tennis pros using this racquet. The most popular frame is also used by Elina Svitolina, Aryna Sabalenka, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Karen Khachanov, and more.

In addition, Wilson has also recently launched US Open limited editions of the Clash 100 and Blade 98 that represent day and night sessions at the season’s final Grand Slam.

Wilson Blade v8 is available at Tennis Warehouse USA and Tennis Warehouse Europe.
