Naomi Osaka wears custom Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo tennis shoe model. At the upcoming clay-court tournaments in Europe, including the 2022 French Open, the four-time Grand Slam champion will sport a striking blue, green and black design featuring her initials on the heal — the Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo Naomi AC Lime/Metal Women’s Shoe.
Naomi Osaka presented her new Nike kicks and said:
Tbh ever since I signed with Nike I feel like I consistently have the hardest tennis shoes to come out every season. Lol anyways here’s EU clay for ya.
The predominant blue and black palette is accentuated by neon green. A checkerboard on the side of the shoe features a heart, Swoosh, and a smiling face.

Here are some more examples of Naomi’s recent tennis shoe designs.
At the 2022 Australian Open, Naomi’s sneakers paid homage to the moment last year when a butterfly landed on her face during a match in Melbourne.
At the 2022 Miami Open, the colorway was dominated by the tennis star’s favorite color — orange.
At the 2021 US Open, limited-edition Nike shoes celebrated Naomi and her multicultural heritage: from her initials on the tongue and heel to the flags of Japan and Haiti. The “NY” acronym represented the city where Naomi spent her early years, as well as the host city of the Grand Slam. This Nike Air Zoom GP Turbo model is still available for purchase.
During her brief appearance at Roland Garros 2021, Osaka wore a custom textured black-and-white dress and Swarovski-studded tie-dye Air Zoom GP Turbo tennis shoes.
All Naomi’s titles, including her four majors, came on hard courts. The Japanese is yet to find her footing on clay. Last year’s Roland Garros was particularly hard for her, as she quit the tournament due to mental health issues after playing just one match.
We hope that new shoes and fresh mindset will help her successfully navigate European tournaments on red dirt this year. Osaka’s next tournament is the Mutua Madrid Open.
