Marketa Vondrousova, a former Roland Garros runner-up, has impressively reached the semifinals of Wimbledon. Despite her remarkable achievement, the Czech tennis player has yet to secure a new clothing sponsorship deal. This raises the question of what attire she is sporting during this fortnight at the prestigious grass-court Grand Slam.
As the 2023 season began, Vondrousova embarked on the new chapter of her tennis journey without the support of Nike. Months have passed, the Czech has even made it to the Wimbledon final four, yet, her tennis apparel remains unbranded.
Even though her Wimbledon outfit is not signed officially, I can make a guess what she’s wearing — Lululemon. In particular their bestseller Align™ Waist-Length Racerback Tank Top and Mesh Pleats Mid-Rise Mini Tennis Skirt. The lightweight, pleated skirt seems to be the same one that Canadian Leylah Fernandez, WTA player officially sponsored by Lululemon, wore in London. Have a close look at these items and tell me in the comments whether I am right.
When it comes to tennis shoes, Vondrousova is loyal to her former sponsor Nike. Her model of choice is the Nike Vapor Pro 2. The new white Nike footwear features green accents and the “8 mm” written on the Swoosh, inspired by Wimbledon’s grass that is mowed at an exact height of 8mm.
The world No.42’s white visor is also Nike.
Interestingly, Vondrousova is the only Wimbledon 2023 semifinalist playing with a Yonex racquet. Elina Svitolina, Ons Jabeur and Aryna Sabalenka all use Wilson.
