Marketa Vondrousova has signed a multi-year clothing sponsorship deal with J.Lindeberg and will debut the new cooperation at the upcoming US Open.

After her previous cooperation with Nike concluded, Vondrousova commenced the 2023 season without an apparel agreement. What’s more, the Czech won her maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon last month in unbranded attire (although we know that she was wearing Lululemon). Finally, the world No.9 has secured a deal that she deserves.

I’m very excited to partner with J.Lindeberg, since it’s a brand that aligns with my core values and we share a vision for breaking new conventions in the tennis world. Their new collection offers a unique crossover between high-end fashion and athletic performance with a design that is trendy, stylish and athletic. I can’t wait to introduce their upcoming looks on the courts at the US Open and look forward to working closely with J.Lindeberg’s designers on upcoming collections.

J.Lindeberg was founded by Johan Lindeberg in the summer of 1996, in Stockholm and New York simultaneously. Initially, the brand was focused on golf fashion. Their first brand ambassador Jesper Parnevik famously wore the J.Lindeberg pink pants as he won the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament on the PGA Tour in 2000. The company has since branched out into other sports, including tennis and skiing.

Vondrousova is not the only WTA player wearing J.Lindeberg. In our Wimbledon fashion overview we showed you Croatia’s Petra Martic in their Dagmar Dress. Mirjam Bjorklund of Sweden also wears their clothes.

  1. Karo, yes, it’s great news. I also like it that it’s a new brand, I mean a brand that is not dominant on the WTA Tour.
