Adidas is ready for Roland Garros 2018, as we can see in the promo imagery including Jelena Ostapenko, Angelique Kerber and Kristina Mladenovic! The new collection, dominated by coral and blue tones accentuated by bold pleats, is inspired by tennis icons of the past, referencing the tournament’s heritage with a modern twist.
Defending champion Jelena Ostapenko will return to the place where she first felt a taste of glory, wearing the Climachill-equipped coral Adidas Roland Garros Tank with tri-colored details and unique pleated overlay.
Although the photos show the Latvian in shorts, Adidas’ press release states that the 20-year-old will pair the high-performance tank with noble indigo Adidas Roland Garros Skirt made from engineered stretch woven fabric and equipped with Climalite technology.
The blue skirt with darted pleats at hem will also be worn by former world No.1 Angelique Kerber, who will combine it with the same-colored version of the bold top.
The below photo shows how Adidas played with silhouettes and cuts to design clothes that stand out from everything we’ve seen in recent years.
What you can’t see is that the apparel features Adidas’ leading and innovative Clima technologies – including Climachill, which uses ultra-breathable moisture-wicking fabrics and aluminum cooling spheres to keep athletes cool and dry in even the most intense heat.
After the famous jumpsuit at the Australian Open, Adidas provided Kristina Mladenovic with slim-fitted, V-neck Adidas Roland Garros Dress featuring a knife-pleated hem and tri-colored accents consistent across the entire collection.
The dress is also made from comfortable and lightweight Climachill fabric.
Here’s how reigning champion Jelena Ostapenko comments her return to the French Open and her new Adidas style:
Last year at Roland Garros was a dream – winning my first Grand Slam and showing the world what I can do. For years I watched tennis legends on court, admiring their play and hoping that one day I’d achieve similar success. That’s why I love the new Roland Garros Line – it takes the classic tennis look and makes it new and cool. Adidas really strikes the balance between enabling my performance and creating an outfit that’s fun to play in.
The shoes we can see in the pics are the Adidas Adizero Ubersonic 3 Clay.
I love the combination of coral and noble indigo, pleats are always a great choice, and the tricolor detailing is a nice detail that celebrates Adidas’ heritage. I’m still not sure about the loose pleats on Ostapenko’s and Kerber’s tank. The back section looks interesting, but the front part may be a bit shapeless. What do you think? Still, let’s wait and see how the entire outfit looks in action. My favorite designs are Kristina Mladenovic’s dress and Jelena Ostapenko’s shorts. Do you agree?
The collection is available at both Tennis Warehouse USA and Tennis Warehouse Europe.

I love Kiki’s dress. I imagine Ana on that dress as she used to wear the design for RG. I thought Angie’s dress looks nice as well.
Naomi Osaka?
I like the orange dress that Kristina is wearing. Flattering, feminine, sporty. Not so sure about the weird ruffle on the other outfits.
Valentina, Osaka should be wearing the same outfit as Ostapenko.
I miss Ana….
