World number two Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, currently the highest-ranked Nike representative on the WTA Tour, is the next player whose 2021 fashion we’ll review in our Fashion Retrospections.
Aryna Sabalenka’s 2021 season started victoriously with the Abu Dhabi WTA Women’s Tennis Open title. The triumph in the Abu Dhabi final was Sabalenka’s 15th consecutive match win and third title in row. During her successful week in the United Arab Emirates, the Belarusian sported a green racerback Nike Winter Elevated Essential Tank, a white Nike skirt, and white Nike React Vapor NXT tennis shoes with the silver Swoosh.
At the Gippsland Trophy in Melbourne, the 23-year-old wore a simple green sleeveless dress.
At the Australian Open, Sabalenka rocked the Nike Spring Melbourne Dress that draws inspiration from heritage Nike ACG style. The mock-neck dress includes a number of features that all work together to maximize ventilation: quarter-length zipper, cutout in the back, mesh panels, and stretchy knit fabric with Dri-FIT technology.
The Nike React Vapor NXT white/black/mango women’s tennis shoe completed the look.
In Dubai and Doha, Sabalenka presented the beige and purple versions of the Nike Spring Slam Melbourne Tank and Skirt. The tank includes a cutout in the front and thick crisscross back straps with an O ring. The pleated skirt has a diagonal cut, which exposes the printed built-in shortie and contrast color side pocket. The skirt’s colorblocking follows the asymmetrical hemline.
Sabalenka’s Miami outfit consisted of a sleeveless white tank, a coral skirt, and Nike React Vapor NXT turquoise/mango/gold sneakers.
In Stuttgart, the Belarusian introduced the pure black Nike Summer Victory Polo Dress.
En route to the Madrid Open title and in Rome, Sabalenka wore a white sleeveless polo tank and a burgundy/lavender pleated skirt.
At Roland Garros and at grass court tournaments ahead of Wimbledon, Sabalenka rocked Nike’s elegant and sophisticated clothes, almost suitable for a dinner date or an evening cocktail.
The Nike Summer Advantage Slam Dress is a dark-colored piece that seduces with details and textures such as pleats on the right side of the skirt, diagonal open-knit sections in the upper back and chest, as well as an extra stretchy triangle inset in the high-heat area of the waist.
She also wore the Nike Summer Advantage Slam Tank, featuring a sensual asymmetrical mesh overlay, and the Nike Summer Advantage Slam Skirt, unique for its origami-inspired pleats.
At the Championships, NikeCourt representatives rocked the London collection that was simply a white version of their French Open styles. Sabalenka’s Nike London Advantage Dress is an asymmetrical silhouette with iridescent sheen and a variety of textures, including open knit insets.
As usual, the NikeCourt React Vapor NXT was Sabalenka’s tennis shoe of choice.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Sabalenka sported a red racerback tank and a green skirt.
In Montreal and Cincinnati, the WTA player paired the Nike Fall Advantage Tank, a loose, crew-neck design, with the Nike Fall Club Skirt in the color dark purple dust.
Sabalenka’s US Open outfit was from Nike’s varsity sport-inspired New York collection. She debuted the ’80s-inspired Nike Fall NY Slam Tank and the Nike Fall NY Slam Skirt. To match the outfits, Nike created shoe models in the same color palette. Sabalenka wore the Nike React Vapor NXT in white with green accents.
We could also see her in the yellow version of the Nike Fall NY Slam Dress which features a V-neck, full-coverage back and striped fabric trim for a vintage look. The item has ribbed waistband and godet pleats at the sides of the skirt.
At the Akron WTA Finals Guadalajara, Sabalenka alternated the blue Nike Winter Victory Tank and the coral Nike Winter Victory Top, paired with a classic navy pleated skirt.
In Mexico, Sabalenka’s tennis shoe of choice was again the Nike React Vapor NXT.
